What is "preventative care"?
Preventative care involves taking steps to maintain health and avoid diseases before they start. This includes regular check-ups, vaccinations, screening for early disease detection, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and education on health and safety. -
How long will this take?
For most people it just takes a single 30 minute office visit with us once a year. We usually also ask you to have bloodwork drawn. Occasionally there will be other suggestions like a mammogram or chest x-ray depending on your age and medical history. -
How much will this cost me?
In almost all cases your insurance will cover a physical once a year. Most of the time there isn't even a copay. -
Can I just get a physical next time I'm there for something else?
Unfortunately, a physical must be it's own separate visit. There is a lot to go over at a physical and we need you to be healthy to get accurate results.
